WINDOWS 7/8 - Installing the Ulead GIFX 2.0 plugin into the "C:>Programs(x86) folder"

These instructions were created using Paint Shop Pro X6 but should work for any version. Ulead GIF X is a fun but "finicky" program to install in Windows 7. This method has worked for me and I hope it does for you too.
PART_1.
1. If you have ever installed Ulead GIFX and it did not work OR it is not working now, follow these instructions before moving to Part 2:
2. Uninstall Ulead GIFX using the windows "uninstaller"
3. Once the uninstall is complete and because Windows search is not thorough enough, Install and use the free "Search Everything" program (see screen shot below) to do a search for leftover (Anigif2.dll) files_ http://www.voidtools.com/
4. Delete any left over Angif2.dll files you find.
PART_2.
If you have never installed Ulead GIFX, follow these steps:
1. Right click on the PSP desktop icon
2. Select "properties"
3. Click on Compatibility tab (See screen shot below)
4. put a check mark in "Run this program in Compatibility mode for":
5. click on down arrow and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
6. put a check mark in "Run this program as an administrator"
7. Click on Change settings for all users button
8. put a check mark in "Run this program in Compatibility mode for":
9. click on down arrow and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
10. put a check mark in "Run this program as an administrator"
11. Click OK, Click OK again
PART_3.
Install GIFX plugin program
1. Right click on the GIFX.exe file and choose "Run as Administrator"
2. Browse to and install GIF x to your C:\>Progams(x86) folder
3. Leave everything as it is
PART_4.
1. Open PSP
2. File>preferences>File locations
3. Look on the left column and click on Plugins
4. On the right hand side, make sure that the path to where you have just installed the GIFX plugin is in the list for example..C:>Programs(x86)>GIF-XPlugins2.0
5. If it is not there, click on Add and browse to the C:>Programs(x86)>GIF-XPlugin2.0 folder to add it
6. Under Folder options put a check mark in the box beside Enable and the box beside Use sub folders
7. Click OK
8. Close PSP
9. Reboot your computer
10. Restart PSP
11. Open PSP and try out your new plugin
